About the campaigns
The Polish Fruit Growers Association is currently implementing an information and promotion campaign entitled “Time for European Apples in Asia.” This initiative seeks to promote European apples, including those originating from Poland, in markets outside of Europe.
Launched in 2024, the “Time for European Apples in Asia” campaign is projected to continue until 2027 and serves as an extension of the previous “Time for European Apples” initiative. The primary objective of this campaign is to enhance the promotion and export of European apples, specifically targeting two Southeast Asian countries: India and Vietnam.
Activities associated with this campaign are designed to highlight apples produced in accordance with sustainable development principles and organic practices. The campaign highlights the positive environmental impact of European apple production, which is particularly relevant in light of the current global challenges.
The project encompasses various informational and promotional activities, including presentations at trade fairs and advertising efforts on social media platforms. The “Time for European Apples in Asia” initiative adopts a comprehensive approach to elevating European fruit products, integrating both commercial and environmental considerations. Consequently, European apple producers have the opportunity to penetrate the burgeoning markets of India and Vietnam. Simultaneously, importers and consumers within these nations can experience the exceptional quality and flavour of European apples, including those from Poland.
The adage “Not all apples are the same” encompasses more than just the differences in flavour among various apple varieties and species; for instance, the tartness of a Gloster apple cannot be expected to match the sweetness of a Champion apple. Moreover, even within a single variety, individual fruits can influence consumer perception of taste in diverse ways.
Consumers who select apples from the European Union can expect a consistent quality and flavour profile, ensuring that each apple of the same variety delivers a comparable taste experience with each bite.
Currently, Poland, Italy, France, and Germany are the leading producers and exporters of apples within the European Union. The EU takes pride in the high quality of its fruit offerings and aims to share this with the populations of India and Vietnam, ensuring access to delicious and safe apples produced in accordance with sustainable development practices.
