About the campaigns
The Association of Polish Fruit Growers is running two information and promotional campaigns promoting European, including Polish, apples outside Europe – “Time for Apples from Europe” and “Time for Apples from Europe in Asia”.
“Time for Apples from Europe” is a three-year information-promotional program implemented by the Association of Polish Fruit Growers in the markets of Egypt and Jordan. The products covered by the program are European apples, the production of which is determined by strict rules of production, storage, and transport. The campaign includes the promotion of the nutritional qualities and high quality of fresh European apples. The main objective is to increase not only the export of apples from the European Union but also the awareness of target groups about the advantages of apple production in the EU.
The implementers want to draw attention to the taste and quality of apples from the European Union so that consumers realise that the products they consume are of high quality and that the diversity of varieties imported to Egypt and Jordan offers a wide range of possibilities for the use of these fruits.

The “Time for Apples from Europe in Asia” campaign is a project that was launched in 2024 and will last until 2027. The main objective of the initiative is to promote European, including Polish, apples and to increase their export to two countries in the Southeast Asian region – India and Vietnam.
The campaign’s activities focus on promoting apples produced in accordance with sustainable and organic methods. The campaign emphasises that the production of European apples in these systems positively impacts the climate, which seems particularly relevant in the context of today’s global challenges.
The project includes various information and promotional activities, such as presentations at trade fairs and advertising campaigns on social media. The “Time for Apples from Europe in Asia” project takes a comprehensive approach to promoting European fruit products, combining commercial and environmental aspects. Thanks to the above-mentioned activities, European apple producers have a chance to mark their presence on the extremely promising markets of India and Vietnam, and importers and consumers from these countries – to discover the extraordinary quality and taste of apples from Europe, including Poland.
The executers wish to draw attention to the taste and quality of apples from the European Union, so that consumers are aware that the product they eat is of high quality, and the diversity of varieties imported to Egypt and Jordan gives a wide range of possible uses of these fruits. Not all apples are the same – this saying does not only refer to the difference in taste in different varieties and species, as sour Gloster is unlikely to achieve the sweetness of Szampion. However, fruits of even the same variety may have different effects on our perception of their taste. In the case of apples from the European Union, consumers can expect consistency in quality and taste, because when they bite another apple of the same variety, its taste will be the same as of the first bite they ever had of that variety.
Currently, the largest producers and exporters of EU apples are, in order of quantity, Poland, Italy and France, and Germany. The European Union is proud of the taste of its fruits and wants to share them with Egypt and Jordan so that the inhabitants of these countries have access to tasty, safe apples, the production of which is determined by strict standards and requirements imposed on fruit growers.
