Apple Exports in June 2026
Nearly 58,000 tonnes of apples originating from the European Union reached foreign markets in June 2026. Although Asian countries, including India and Vietnam, account for a relatively small share of European fruit exports, producers from Poland, Italy, and Germany hold significant positions in these markets.
According to the latest data from the European Commission, EU Member States exported a total of 57,803 tonnes of apples in June 2026.
Of this volume, 3,740 tonnes were shipped to India and Vietnam, accounting for approximately 6.5% of total EU apple exports in the month under review. For comparison, during the same period of the 2024/2025 season, deliveries to the two Asian countries amounted to just 389 tonnes.
In June 2026, sales of European apples to individual markets were as follows:
- India: 3,637 tonnes
- Vietnam: 103 tonnes
India is currently one of the key and most promising export destinations for European apples in Asia. The scale of deliveries to India is significantly greater than that to Vietnam.
Individual EU countries are strengthening their positions in specific Asian markets.
- Poland was the largest EU exporter of apples to India. In June, it shipped 1,905 tonnes of fruit to the country, accounting for more than half of all EU apple exports to the Indian market.
- France, in turn, held a dominant position in deliveries to Vietnam, accounting for the entire volume of EU apple exports to that country during the period under review.
The data indicate that although India and Vietnam do not account for a large share of total EU apple exports, they remain important and growing destinations for European producers.
