Apple exports in April 2026

April 2026 saw the EU fruit-growing sector stabilise, demonstrating its resilience to global geopolitical turmoil. Despite significant logistical challenges caused by the conflict in the Middle East (longer sea routes and increased freight costs), European exporters ended the month with a very strong global total of 105,736 tonnes.

In April 2026, 8,484 tonnes were shipped to India, whilst 314 tonnes were exported to Vietnam. A total of 8,798 tonnes of apples were shipped to both countries. This means that just two countries accounted for as much as 8.3 % of total EU exports that month.

The largest European apple exporters in April 2026 were:

• Poland: 42,105 tonnes (approx. 40% share of EU exports),

• Italy: 37,158 tonnes (approx. 35% share of EU exports),

• France: 14,418 tonnes (approx. 14,6% of EU exports).
