SUMMARY OF THE VISIT TO VIETNAM FOODEXPO 2025
On 12–15 November 2025, as part of the information and promotion campaign “Time for Apples from Europe in Asia”, a delegation of European fruit growers participated in the Vietnam Foodexpo trade fair in Ho Chi Minh City. The visit to Vietnam was attended by representatives of leading European companies exporting apples to Vietnam: Bialski Owoc, Fruit Family, Arctic, and Rajpol.
The campaign’s booth attracted great interest from visitors. Over the four days of the fair, it was visited by hundreds of guests, including distributors, importers, representatives of retail chains, HORECA, and trade media. At the booth, visitors could obtain information about European production standards, as well as the quality and safety of European apples.
During the fair, a series of B2B meetings was held to establish new business contacts, present the export potential of European apples, and discuss opportunities for introducing new varieties to the Vietnamese market. Initial business talks confirmed the growing interest of importers in products that meet European standards of quality, safety, and traceability.
The delegation of fruit growers also had the opportunity to learn about distribution and sales formats for fruit, particularly apples. During visits to marketplaces and stores of various formats, the participants were able to analyse fruit availability, consumer preferences, pricing policies, and the requirements of distributors. The collected data provides a valuable source of knowledge for future export activities and planning fruit supplies to Vietnam.
Participation in Vietnam Foodexpo 2025 was an important step in developing Polish-Vietnamese cooperation and expanding the presence of apples from the European Union on Asian markets. The new business contacts and discussions held during the fair create a solid foundation for further cooperation. The participation also played a significant role in promoting the image of European apples in the Vietnamese market, helping to raise consumer awareness in Vietnam about these fruits.
