Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg wheat flour
  • 50 g fresh yeast
  • 4 apples - table varieties are recommended
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1.5 cups of warm milk
  • Frying oil

Method:

Sift the flour into a large bowl and add a pinch of salt, then mix it. Make a recess in the centre, crumble the yeast into it and sprinkle with sugar. Pour half a glass of warm milk over the yeast and set aside for about 15 minutes. Then add the egg and the rest of the milk, and mix it all together. Leave the dough to rise for an hour and a half. After that time, use a large spoon to scoop the dough and fry on both sides in hot oil until the fritters are golden. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
