The recently finished animation of sales points in selected Egyptian cities enjoyed strong interest. From 1 March to 4 May at as many as 20 sales outlets in Cairo, Giza, Sharqia, Qalyubia and Alexandria, one could find the characteristic degustation stand of the program “Time for apples from Europe” as well as smiling hostesses in t-shirts with the campaign logo, who offered European apples to visitors and handed out branded promotional materials.  

The animation of sales points at chosen locations in Egypt was not only an occasion to taste European apples and to become convinced of their quality and flavour, but also to obtain information on the benefits of this European fruit.

The degustation stand at each of the sales points was situated near the section with fresh fruit, which helped in reaching consumers most interested in the promoted products. Over 56 days of sales outlet animation, Egyptian consumers visiting the tasting stand gladly tried the apples and shared their flavour preferences. The degustation of European apples in local stores was most eagerly taken advantage of by women and children, who did not hesitate to approach hostesses giving out apples and gifts with the campaign logo.

Animation of sales outlets was one of the most recent activities in the framework of the 2-year informational-promotional campaign “Time for apples from Europe”. This activity undoubtedly assisted in the promotion of European apples among Egyptian consumers, who during the degustation emphasized the exceptional flavour of fruit from Europe. The animation of local sales points allowed for direct contact with consumers and getting to know their preferences in choosing among European apples.
